Proactive since its foundation, in the early 2000s the ISPL began expanding its research activities on advanced technologies for sound synthesis for musical applications; as well as space-time processing for sound field analysis, reconstruction and control; and music information retrieval.
Digital image processing and computer vision techniques are nowadays used for a wide variety of applications. With the rapid proliferation of inexpensive acquisition and storage devices, multimedia objects can be easily created, stored, transmitted, modified and tampered with by anyone.
Understanding our planet is one of the most exciting and challenging tasks that researchers all around the world are facing. We at ISPL are working on imaging the Earth’s subsurface applying the most recent advances in the signal processing community.
